Lovely top soil!

Raising beds this spring? Or perhaps you want to fill a hole? Maybe you just like dirt.

In any event, you need top soil!

I've got at least a half ton of top soil and at least as much rotting turf if anyone fancies some rich soil for composting purposes. It's in my back yard and ready for collection. All you need is a wheelbarrow and vehicle to take it away and I'll help you load it up. I'm around weekends and some days to help shovel (sadly, evenings won't work as the soil will have to be transported down an unlit access path)

PS: Rotting turf [separate post]:

Great for compost or filling the bottom of those raised beds you're working on now that Spring cometh (or ought to be cometh-ing).

There's enough to fill a medium-sized car boot. Though whether that's healthy for your suspension is another matter.

  1. Hear this:
    1) A half ton was a misunderestimation and several halves - three tons was closer the mark. Sadly have lost photographic evidence.

    2) This had to be reposted at least half a dozen times before I got my patio back. Variants on the title included "Gorgeous", "Fantastic", "Fabulous" and so forth. As for the description, that varied between the above and the below:

Remember those raised beds you said you'd work on once Spring arrived? Well, it's here now - just look at it!
I've got at least two barrow-fulls of topsoil for a lucky someone to collect.
You bring the barrow & I'll help shovel it. WHAT A DEAL!

NB, ideally suited for someone with a trailer, but we can always stick it in your boot, if you don't mind getting it filthy.

    3) At every repost, "Sandra" said she'd love to have my soil, and could I please deliver it to her on the other side of town or could I get someone to deliver it on her behalf. DO I LOOK LIKE TOPSOILDIRECT, SANDRA? Tchyya!

    4) In the end, one person took two big trailers full, one took a medium sized trailer, another two took a half-ton trailer each, and someone even drove off with less than a growbag full. I also drove two buckets of mud some 70 odd miles to dump in my parents' garden.
